The book I am reading is "Queen Bee" by Chyna Clugston. I liked that this book was actually a comic book. I also like that the characters in this book are teenagers and i can relate to them more and easier. I also liked the whole idea of Haley having phsycokinetic powers. One thing I really didn't like was that her sister was Alexa and no one knew. One thing that I would change is that not one person knew that Alexa was Haley's long los sister. I noticed that Haley use to be a loser in school and had no friends. Once she moved to the other school she wanted to be one of the cool kids so she dressed differently and acted a little bit different. She learned who are her true friends and who are her want to be friends. One of the main conflicts in this book was Haley wanting to be a more "popular" kid at her new school. Another huge conflict was Alexa being a trouble maker and framed Haley doing something in more than one occasion. The way they solved these conflicts was one by make a "peace treaty" and Alexa stopped doing bad things to Haley. And second she won a talent show and Alexa felt ruined.

Theme

Theme is the moral or lesson in a story. In the book im reading " Life Sucks" by Jessica Abel I think that the theme is that if you really want something you should really try to get it. For example at the begining of the book Radu wanted to get a young man to work for him at the last stop. Many people whent to ask for the job but only one "lucky" person got the job, Dave. Dave was perfect for this job. Dave lived alone and was a young teenager full of life and he was depressed. Before Radu did anything to him he asked Dave if he had trouble working in the night and if he had anyone that really cared about him. As soon as dave said no to  both questions Radu said "your hired". This shows that  Radu witch wanted a good  young worker  and Dave that wanted a job if you want something and you work hard for it you will get it and all the hard work would have payed off.

Another example of theme in my book was when Rosa, Dave lover, wanted to become a vampire like Dave and she asked Dave if he could turn her into a vampire but he said no but she knew that Wes another vampire in the city was willing to turn her into a vampire. Soon inof after proving herself to Wes he agreed to turn her into a vampire. Now after all the work she has erternal life as long as she drank human blood.

This Is How It All Began

This quote is significant because it was the first time that Rosa and Dave met so this is were it all began. Rosa was coming from a party with her boyfriend and stopped by at the Last Stop wich is the store that Dave works at. They stopped by to buy juice and rite when she walked into the store she got Daves attention kind of  like "love at first sight."  Rosa's "boyfriend" was a want to be vampire so he got affended whe Rose told him if he wanted some blood-orange juice. Her boyfriend ran out of the store in emberacement so Rosa had to go pay for the juice witch is the first time Dave and Rosa met and had a conversation.

 " I wish he was vegetarian. I wish I was a vegetarian too.You should try it, its easier then you think."

This is a significant quote because it is how they met so thats when they started talking and became friends and later on in the story they become more then friends. Since they become more then friends they start to go through all the bad thins together.

The BIG Secret

In most relationships there is trust and stuff so that means there are no secrets. But that is only if you are a normal person but if you are a vampire like Dave you would want to atleast keep a BIG secret as a little secret from your partner. Rosa, Daves "partner" was already getting curiouse why Dave only wanted to go out at night and why he slept the whole day and didnt like to eat real food. Dave's best friend Carl was the only human that knew his secret. One nightt Rosa whent over to Dave's house and slept over. Next morning she woke up and told Dave that she wanted to go to a picnic but Dave told her no so she asked Carl why he didnt like to go out into the sun and he told Rosa " I mean hes really a good guy, but .... he's a vampire."  p.164. As soon as Rosa heard that she screamed and tried to run out the door but Dave was able to grab her from her arm and take her into his room. Rosa asked him why he didnt tell her since the begining and Dave told her it was to protect her from bad people doing bad things to her. As soon as he finished saying that she asked Dave " Turn me into a vampire." he said no because he loved her to much to make him watch her suffering. The consequences for him not turning her into a vampire was that she whent to Wes and asked her to turn her into a vampire and he did rite away.

Becoming a Slave

             I am reading Life Sucks by Jessica Abel. I actually like this book because it is about a teenager that has a crazy secret and life. This book is just mostly about a teenage vampire that works at a convenience during the night shift. He is a working slave for his master that is the owner of the convenience store. Dave is the "lucky" teenager that works for the "master". The only reason Dave is working for Radu, the "master," is because he walked into the store asking for a job because he saw a help wanted sign on the window. Dave didnt know that Radu was  vampire so he just whent along with everything that Radu would tell him to do. Radu told him to got to the basement and help him cary some beer cartons up to refill the refigirater.Dave said  "Wow that was the easiest job interview ever! So how  much do I get paid an ow-ow-ow-ow-OOOOOWW" page 28. I believe that Dave is going to suffer and become a vampire obviously.

Life Sucks

The only connection I think I have with the book is that the teenagers in the book act like me especially the main character, Dave. I connect to Dave because of the way he acts when he meets new people. When I meet new people I am  little bit shy at the begining the way Dave was acting when he met Rosa. Just the way Dave acted after a while being with those people or person and they get to know me I stop acting as shy and nervous. If I could be any character from my book I would want to be Jerome another vampire like Dave but more powerful. I would want to be Jerome because he has more powers then Dave and he is slicker .

Troublemaker

"I dont sweat stuff. Worrying just  gives wrinkle lines or stress hives or a acid stomach you cant soothe with a whole box of Tums." If Rue would worry about more things I think the story would have been completely different. As a result to this quote Rue the main character lost her mother twice during the story.I believe that manythings would have changed in the story if Rue was being more careful.For example if Rue was being more careful when she was looking for clues she would have found the little sticky note saying that her fsther was going to meet up with one of his old "friends".
